Wild Card
Round 1
And now it gets real. I always find this to be such a long week. No weeknight games, endless coaching carousel news, but come Saturday the most entertaining form of football, single elimination (well we did get a little college action and congrats to Miami and Indiana)!
A reminder, we will pick EVERY game from here to the Super Bowl as a Best Bet. On Super Bowl weekend, we will have our annual finale, the Super Bowl Spectacular! But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, 12 playoff games await before we get into the last one.
Wild Card Best Bets - YTD - 29-12, 4-9 ATS
As always, our Best Bets are for subscribers only, if you aren’t one already, we are running a 20% off discount from now until the Super Bowl, so at least have a look and reminder yourself, how much have I lost?
Rams at Panthers
Rams - ML
Once upon a time in Week 13, the Rams traveled to this same stadium and lost to this same team 31-28. They turned the ball over 3 times, which was 20% if all the turnovers the Rams committed this season. They won’t repeat this performance.
Packers at Bears
Packers ML
The rare third time is a charm with 2 teams in the same division, especially since they split. Close match-up, but the Bears did need the luck of an on-side kick to win their game. Like the Packers
Bills at Jaguars
Jaguars ML
This is the best match-up of the weekend and the closest call for us. Our model is nearly even for this match-up. There are 2 things that have us lean Jags. Jacksonville has the best run defense in the NFL and can slow or shutdown Cook, the Bills struggle when Josh Allen is asked to do too much.
49ers at Eagles
49ers +6.5
The Eagles have been very uneven in this Super Bowl defense, so should they manage a win, this game will be close, so take the 49ers and the points.
Chargers at Patriots
Patriots ML
Not sure this Patriots team is going all the way or even winning the AFC, but I do think the Chargers are just too banged up to win this.
Texans at Steelers
Texans ML
This pick would have been the same if the Ravens made the kick last week. Unless the weather in Pittsburgh looked rough, which it doesn’t. Texans defense and running game are perfect for playoff football.
